Sigma hit No 1 with Ella Henderson

Sigma have added to their incredible run of hits by scoring another No 1 single with their ‘Glitterball’ ft the beautiful Ella Henderson.

The video peaked at #5 in the TV airplay chart and the boys filmed a special for MTV whilst out in Ibiza playing Ibiza Rocks. 

Further TV coverage came from Box Plus Network at Fusion festival and Chart Show TV, who caught up with the boys at Sundown.

Labrinth joins Sigma to perform at Baftas!

In an evening of firsts, UK star Labrinth joined Sigma on the 10th May to perform their single ‘Higher” for the first time on UK TV, on none other than the TV Bafta Awards  (BBC 1) ! 

It was also the first time the TV Baftas’s have ever featured a music performance in the show, and what an amazing one it was…

Skepta will soon be releasing a video to accompany late single “Shutdown” – currently B-listed on R1, A listed at 1Xtra and on Capital Xtra / Kiss Fresh playlists. 

Produced by Skepta and Ragz Originale, ‘Shutdown’ arrived online at the start of April to widespread acclaim and racking up 1 million Soundcloud views in just 2 x weeks (now on 1.8 Million)

Skepta continues to be at the forefront of of the current UK/US scene cross over, which saw the north London MC and producer join Kanye West on stage at both the Brit Awards (for the infamous debut performance of ‘All Day’), and a spontaneous full live show at London’s Koko (alongside the likes of JME, Meridian Dan and Novelist).

Dappy charts in Top 20

Dappy’s latest single “Beautiful Me” has charted at #19 off the back of 1Xtra, Regional Radio & TV support alone (and would have been #9 if counting sales alone & not adding in streaming figures!)

Putting his tumultous couple of years firmly behind him, he has gone back to doing what he does best, writing epic sounding pop records with an edge and singing his heart out.

The video peaked at #24 in TV Airplay Chart, reached 1.9 Million views on Youtube and Chilli had him chatting with 4Music/The Box, MTV News, Chart Show TV and having fun on Celebrity Juice and Virtually Famous.

The new single, which we have heard, is sounding AWESOME!

Next to drop on Chilli roster are the mysterious Kid Arkade who have been building a name as a remixers (Marlon Roudette, Kodaline, Sia) and producers (releasing underground tracks “Atlas Run”, “Iceberg” and “Underbelly” to critical acclaim).

It’s official, Sigma have score their second No 1 single with the epic “Changing” featuring the incredible vocals of Paloma Faith.

& they sold over 100,000 copies in the first week to do it!

Sigma are the only act this year to have sold over 100k in the first week on 2 x separate and consecutive releases…

“Changing” is now Gold in the UK (Nov 2014) and still selling..

Steve Aoki teams up with Chiddy Bang and Lil Jon for his latest caper… The video features the three dispensing their own unique brand of emergency treatment from the ‘party ambulance’.

Public Enemy ‘Harder Than You Think’

After being picked as the sync track to C4’s Paralympic promo’ Meet the Super Humans’, the phenomenal Public Enemy tune ‘Harder Than You Think’ got a well deserved re-release..
Immediately charting in the Official Top 40, it swiftly rose to #11 and then #6, peaking at #4. With video support across the major TV playlist channel, it reached at #10 in the TV Airplay Chart & #13 in the Box TV Network Most Viewed Chart (linked to Barb Data)
This year is the legendary hip hop group’s 25th Anniversary and they will be celebrating this with a new album.

Josh Osho – BBC 4 & T4

After performing his debut single “Redemption Days” on Later With Jools this summer, Josh Osho once again performs for the BBC, this time with Sir Tom Jones!
After meeting the legend backstage at The Voice final, the two bonded over a love of the blues. They performed the Big Bill Broonzy classic “Black & White Blues” together at LSO St Lukes as part of a BBC 4 Sessions series.
in 2012 Josh achieved the incredible feat of 3 x ROTW AND Playlists on 1Xtra, R1 AND R2 (for “Redemption Days”), graced the hallowed halls of Madia Vale for a R1 Live Lounge, had the most synced track of the summer (used all over The Voice final, Formula One, Euro 2012, Wimbledon and the Olympics), played festivals including Wireless, T in the Park, T4 on the Beach and V Festival and supported Jessie J, Emelie Sande, James Morison and The Script.

Dappy tells the world his “Good Intentions”

Dappy’s third single “Good Intentions” sees the often outspoken urban superstar open his heart to showcase both his fantastic songwriting talent and ear for melody.
The video made VIP track across the Box TV Network, as well as MTV Base A list, MTV Hits & Viva B list, Chart Show, BuzMusic, Flava & Starz playlists, and peaked at #8 in the TV Airplay Chart!
Chilli booking included performing on London Live (C4), Daybreak (ITV 1) and Loose Women (ITV 1) & causing hilarious mayhem on set of T4, Freshly Squeezed (C4), Celebrity Juice (ITV 2), & Unzipped (BBC 3)

Chilli PR – Highlights Of 2011

2011 whizzed by in a blur of packed release schedules and promo itineraries that kept us busy for many weekends of the year (and experienced new forms of transport – sleeper train back from Glasgow Mobos anyone?!)

We worked with Tinchy Stryder, Skepta, Alex Gaudino ft Kelly Rowland, Wolfgang Gartner ft, Laidback Luke ft Example, Artful, Cleo Sol, Sincere, MC Harvey, Preeya Kalidas, Tim Berg, Eric Prydz, Afrojack & Steve Aoki amongst many others.

Dappy scored a No 1 with his debut solo single “No Regrets” & Chilli also hit No 1 in TV Airplay Chart for the video. We had him performing acoustically on Hollyoaks Music Show (C4) & The Crush (C4); with a full Orchestra & band on Children In Need (BBC 1); & backed by a band & choir on The Mobo Awards, T4 Super Sat & Daybreak.

Sway triumphantly returned with some of the fastest rapping committed to tape (& our personal favourite lyric of the year “I know you missed me, I missed you too”). “Still Speedin” exceeded all expectations as a set up single & charted at #19! We made the Top 20 in the TV Airplay Chart & had him sharing his wisdom on the Jo Whiley Music Show as a panel guest, as well as chatting on Freshly Squeezed & Soccer AM. The Mobo Awards were another busy date for us with performances from Boyz II Men, Dappy & Tinchy Stryder. Boyz II Men were honoured with an “Outstanding Contribution to Music Award”, and Tinchy & Dappy won “Best Video” for “Spaceship”.

On the pop / dance front, Alexandra Stan steadily climbed the singles chart to eventually reach #3. The video for “Mr Saxobeat” peaked at #6 in TV Airplay & stayed in both the Sales & TV Airplay Top 40 for a staggering 16 x weeks! The video to follow up “Get Back (ASAP)”also reached Top 20 in the TV Airplay Chart.

Roll Deep also returned to the Chilli PR roster after signing an indie deal with Cooking Vinyl & we are already off to a great start with TV performances on Friday Download (BBC 2) and an interview on Freshly Squeezed (C4)...
